- Flat, thin, square beads 30x30mm in swirling hues of blue and turquoise
- What is "Fordite" aka Detroit Agate or Motor Agate? It's not an urban legend. Apparently it really is cut from thick slabs of car paint overspray salvaged from the Ford factory in Detroit and others around the country.
- It was laid down between the 1920s to the 1980s, when the painting process changed. Because it's no longer being made, it's in limited and diminishing supply
- The brightest colors, like those in these beads are from the 1960s & 70s when bright colored cars were most popular. Earlier layers are more subdued.
