Miniature image of Indian god Krishna playing is flute in a silver frame with lotus design on the back. 22mm diameter plus loop
Krishna remains possibly the most revered, yet accessible and beloved Hindu deity, at the center of many bhakti devotional rituals full of poetry, music, dancing and painting. He's considered to be an incarnation of Vishnu but with a much more accessible character.
Legends abound, in which as a child he was full of mischief, and as a young man he played his flute for the milkmaids while they bathed in the river... maybe he even hid their saris in a tree...
Here, as he usually is, Krishna is portrayed with blue skin, a sign of his divinity
