- Kathleen Dustin large Fimo bead with multiple faces and figures among fields of flowers 30mm diameter with small perforation. Contemporary with the Silk Road Series, but not exactly of that series.
- Kathleen was one of just a few early luminaries in the world for Fimo beads. Like others who embraced the field, she found the material in a German toy store.
- Inspired by her time living in such exotic places as Turkey and Saudi Arabia, Kathleen translated the art and adornment of those regions into Fimo, the new material taking the US by storm in the early 1980s. She invented many of the techniques required and continues to create and teach at the highest level.
