- Well worn, mid size antique Venetian "King" beads. One 9x15mm, two 10x15mm
- They make a nice set for the center of a necklace. Amber color with faint stripes of black, red, and green. Well aged, but no cracks or chips
- Made in Venice, Italy early 1800s
- The name lampworking comes from the lamps (torches today) that artists use to melt the very thin rods of glass for applying decoration to the surface of beads.
- The bead cores were produced in the furnaces of larger Venetian glass workshops before being sent to artists working at home to decorate them. This explains the variations we see in similar designs produced over decades.
