- This is a unique collector's piece, or the centerpiece of a truly fabulous statement necklace.
- To make a lost wax cast bead of these beads is first has to be created in bee's wax. Not an easy task in a tropical climate. Next, the wax is covered by fine, wet, clay, Once it's dry, clay mold with the wax inside is heated so the wax runs out through openings left for that purpose.
- Molten recycled metal is poured into the mold. After cooling, each clay mold is broken open and the individually unique bead is removed, cleaned, and polished.
- It's a laborious and convoluted process and small flaws are inevitable. Miraculously this bead has only a few tiny irregularities, it's truly a master piece of this art form.
