Lot of 4 beads of mixed sizes and shapes, but similar patterns 16x15mm
Two of these beads clearly exhibit the differences between the cased and bundled cane method of making murrine for Venetian trade beads
The lines between the layers of cased (cores coated with layers of alternating colors of molten glass) are smooth, while those between colors made up of individually tiny glass canes show the irregular edges where canes met.
A nice addition to a collection, or to make some bracelets...w
All trade beads have holes big enough for 1-2mm leather cords
Made in Venice, Italy 1800s to early 1900s for the African trade
