- These beads are priced and sold individually
- Antique Venetian millefiori trade beads green with rare chevron pattern 30x12mm
- This is not your classic chevron murrina. It was a concentric circle pattern before the molten yellow layer was plunged into a corrugated mold to create the chevron points. Then an unusual blue layer was added.
- It's mostly hidden next to the green, but it shows up as stripes on the yellow, seen especially well in the bead on the left in the image.
- It seems then number of permutations is endless and no doubt that's what keeps so many of us fascinated.
- Made in Venice, Italy for the African trade mid- to late 1800s
