- These beads are priced and sold individually
- Antique, or possibly just vintage, Venetian millefiori trade beads 24x12mm
- These beads are in mint condition and the more I think about it, the more I think they could be a relatively recent process (between 1930-1960) of using up random left-over millefiori canes to create beads after the African trade had ceased.
- Whether they were released to the market then, or more recently is hard to know. Most of the murrine used are familiar from the African trade, but it's extremely rare to see them so mixed on a single bead, and also so to see them as pristine, without any signs of wear/use.
- What I do know: I've only seen one or two beads like this on strands from Africa. These came to me with a large collection without documentation. It's a mystery....
- Why are they in the African Collection? I thought you might like them, but they are also listed in the Glass Collection under Multicolor.
- Made in Venice, Italy probably within the past 75 years.
