- Silver "hamsa" or "khamsa" amuletic pendant, 53mm wide by 63 mm tall on necklace of black glass beads with 4 small tubular Tuareg silver beads
- Worn by both women and men among the Tuareg
- They were originally made of 5 diamond shapes of white shell on leather, more recently the design has been reproduced in silver
- The 5 diamonds represent the five fingers of a hand, thus the name "hamsa" or hand (aka hand of god or hand of Fatima) popular throughout the Middle East and North Africa
- The amulet is thought to be particularly helpful against the evil eye, or envy of others.
