- Moroccan silver, contemporary Tuareg pendant of sterling silver with a black stone donut with the option to add two dangles on either side of the pendant
- The elaborate frame around the stones is etched with geometric designs typical of traditional Tuareg silver work. You can see the maker's mark in the Tuareg language on the back
- The Tuareg are a traditionally nomadic Amazigh (Berber) people who once traveled freely around the Sahara. National borders have gotten in the way, and climate change has forced many to settle. The society was highly stratified, but also being matrilineal, women hold positions of authority both in the family and the culture.
