Vintage Moroccan silver Boghdad Cross (aka Southern Cross) pendant 38x38mm
Channel for stringing the pendant runs through the rectangular area at the top
This Boghdad cross is about 7mm thick and the channel can accept a cord or chain up to about 4mm
Boghdad, or Southern Cross pendants are most closely associated with the Moors, descendants of people of mixed European, Arab and Berber heritage who lived in Spain and later moved to Morocco. It has now been adopted by residents and nomads in neighboring regions of the Sahara and Sahel as well
These are old, well worn, and dark with age, but the silver seems to be of good quality and I expect they would polish up nicely if you prefer that look.
