The rare, special beads in the center and clasp denote the “royal” aspect of the necklace.
Worn only by those of merit, based on birth, marriage to the chief, wealth or deeds.
These whiteheart trade beads were made during late 19th to early 20th century in Europe.
The necklace was collected in Nagaland during the 1980’s
