- Necklace of Red Jasper, antique Venetian Amber "King" beads, antique amber glass rondelles, jade and brass 28 inches long
- The Venetian King beads were the driver of this design - their amber glass core is lampwroked with brick and dark olive green lampwork. But the palette also grew out of me variations on a theme with similar gem colors in PDG-69, PDG-70 and PDG-71. Here I just chose African focal beads rather than Asian ones to combine with the gemstones.

- It took me a surprisingly long time to realize that Red and Yellow Jasper were ideal colors for working with antique Venetian beads of many different kinds. That might of been because I hadn't seen any gemstones used with trade beads in Africa and it took me while to gather a collection of them once I arrived in the US. Then II tended to use them with each other. When I finally discovered how perfectly red and yellow jasper complement most Trade Beads, there was no turning back.
