- Nepalese brass 4 sided beads with rounded corners. Inlaid with chips of turquoise and red glass to simulate coral.
- This technique has long been practiced in the Himalayan regions.
- Just as in other parts of the world, including the US Southwest, coral and turquoise seem to be universally paired in the Himalayas.
- Turquoise is native to the area, but coral had to be imported and thus was much more expensive.
