- It's hard to find variety in purple stones so I bought some of this stone, billed as "Suzanite', this year in Tucson. I haven't been able to find anything online about it so it's probably a "trade name" attached to a fairly one or more rocks or minerals that hasn't made its debut on the internet yet.
- There is such a thing a Susannite, but the color doesn't match.
- On closer inspection, these actually look to me like they could be carefully sorted amethyst and cape amethyst beads.
- In any case they're pretty, not too expensive considering the amount of cutting, polishing, grading and sorting involved, and they offer a nice range of light to dark purple tints and shades. Enjoy!
