- Bi were considered to be symbols of heaven
- Serpentine is a usually greenish mineral, but can also be brown or beige with yellow. It can be confused with Jade and is often used as a substitute, and called “Korean Jade,” which seems to be a catch-all name for a whole range of non-Jade Asian stones.
- Named for snakeskin, Serpentine has been found and used for jewelry in many parts of the world throughout the ages.
- From the collection of Joyce Diamanti, bead writer, editor and educator.
