From the collection of Harry Neufeld: "Old tribal silver tone metal ear ornaments. Long, thin-shafted metal with solid tetrahedron at end, of indeterminate origin"
These are most likely from the Indian sub-continent or possibly from Central Asia. Some elbow grease with a good polishing cloth brings up a shine.
A little scary for contemporary wear, these are collector pieces, or if you've got some metalworking skills, they could be modified for your own creative designs.
Being handmade, no two are exactly alike - as seen in the photo, but the style is clearly consistent.
