- Delicately engraved Tuareg silver pendant (1 inch long) with black onyx donut, teardrop shape, and 6mm beads. Sterling silver accent beads and a white bronze S-hook clasp pull it all together.
- For me, the three dimensional pendant evokes the beautiful architecture, pottery shapes or even leatherwork found in the bustling and aromatic markets of the Moroccan towns I long to return to.
- The Tuareg are nomads of the western Sahara desert and Morocco. Among them silversmithing is akin to magic and is practiced with great skill, artistry & soul.
- Designer: Penelope Diamanti: World traveler, insatiable bead collector, entrepreneur (creator of the Beadazzled stores & this website), self-taught artist, teacher, writer, and cat lover.
- Almost all of my work is one-of-a-kind (although I do like to work in series around color palettes). I string on soft flexible cable wire, preferring the Flex-Rite brand. I use only sterling or gold filled crimps. My favorite clasps are Indian Silver S-hooks or Bronze or White Bronze hook & eyes.
