Afghan Turquoise dyed 4mm rondelles on 15" strands
The skills required to shape these tiny rondelles with simple tools is impressive
The craftsmen were trained by an archeologist friend who realized that well made copies of ancient beads would reduce the incentive to loot his site
Part of me wishes they hadn't been dyed, but I have to admit the color is pretty great. It's now from this part of the world so I can't say how well it will hold up.
I've kept the price as low as I can because of that.
