Campitos turquoise nuggets are formed in the same way as Sleeping Beauty turquoise, and since that mine closed have become some of the most sought after types of turquoise. They are appreciated for their color, relative lack of matrix, durability and for now, still reasonable prices. Sadly the deposits don't lend themselves to bead-making because the nuggets are thin, but at least we have some nice pendants.
