Matched set of 3 yellow antique Venetian rounded crumb beads
Not exactly lampworked (altho one looks like the design was swirled) these are a way of using up leftover bits of glass at the end of the day, so they are also known as "end of day" beads
Crushed glass is spread on the marvering slab and semi-molten bead cores are rolled over it picking up the glass chips. Sometimes they are left protruding from the surface. In this case they were marvered in for a smooth finish.
These are more attractive than some "end of day beads" which can be quite messy
Two beads 13x16mm and one smaller one, each with designs on both sides
Made in Venice, Italy early 1900s for the African trade
